I teach an in-person class called "Happy Back Yoga" and this is the video I give to each participant to help them to remember their "Home Work" Every pose is not appropriate for every person so do what works for you, what feels good and leave the rest behind.
I teach at least 2 classes a month that focus solely on gentle mobility of the spine. Yoga is meant to encourage mobility and stability in the whole body, but with respect first and foremost to the spine. If you're just starting out in Yoga, find a Restorative, or Yin Yoga class to ease you into mobility. You won't be sorry!
